The last year has been a challenge for many Australians and Australian companies, especially in the tourism industry. So it’s with mixed feelings that we have decided to sell BnbGuard to Sherlock Software another Australian company with a long history in IT.
We looked for a long time for a good buyer who can take the business to the next level, and finally were able to find a great match for us. Sherlock Software knows the industry of short-term rentals, and has been supplying trust accounting software to the industry for 40+ years. They have also been creating and supporting Cloud technology / websites with business processes for the last 21 years. They also work directly with major STRA portals. They have a good size team. This is what is required for our customers – the ability to build the features you need in the ever-changing world of this industry and technology.
The company is in good hands and there will be no disruption to our services for new or existing customers. BnbGuard now has the additional skills and resources to move it forward.
Local and state governments as well as Strata/Building and property managers have a need to manage risk and do it efficiently. Agents and owners of properties have to comply with regulations and audit. Data produced by BnbGuard provides proof of usage to assist all parties. The more information you have at your disposal, the better decisions you can make.
BnbGuard services complement Sherlock’s existing products to make a more comprehensive solution to problem STRAs, especially as the new NSW STRA laws become enforceable in next few months.
The company is in good hands.
We will still be around for a few more months to oversee the transition, so pls reach out if you have any questions or would like a personal introduction to the Sherlock team.
Thanks and best,
